Our client is a successful and highly reputable company in the Barnsley area. They are looking for several people to join them as a Vehicle Repair Technician / Bodyshop Technician. The job will involve carrying out external and cosmetic repairs to a large fleet of vehicles. They are looking for people from the Automotive / Vehicle industry, that are confident at working with hand tools and power tools, and that can follow instructions with care and precision. Applicants from other industries where hand and power tools are used to do a quality job may also be considered (e.g. Joiners / Shop Fitters / Kitchen Fitters / etc.). PLEASE ONLY APPLY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: - Ideally, previous experience in the Automotive industry. e.g. Vehicle assembly or maintenance with any vehicles (Truck / HGV / PSV / FLT / Coach / Bus / Plant Machinery / Trains / Rolling Stock / Material Handling Equipment / MHE). - Experience of working with a wide range of tools (Hand tools / Power tools / Air tools / etc.). - Physically fit and able to work consistently in a fast-paced manual job. Responsibilities: As a Bodyshop Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and preparing vehicles to get back on the road. You will be dealing with the external repairs to vehicles so that they are presentable and roadworthy. This is NOT dealing with the mechanics of the vehicle (e.g. engine, suspension, etc.). Duties include (but are not limited to); - Interior and exterior panel fitting - Repairing and replacing side curtains - Re-attaching registration plates, etc. - Wing mirror replacements - Bumper repairs - Changing light bulbs - Panel beating - Paint touch ups / paint spraying - Minor welding This company likes to progress and train staff within, and your skills will be utilised and built upon during your career there, providing you do a good job and show willing. * Salary is depending on experience (£16 - £18 per hour, TBC) * Hours of
