Job Title: Senior Engineer- Electrical Engineering (Power) Salary: up to £46,000 per annum dependent upon experience Location: Barrow-In-Furness, Brough, Portsmouth, Weymouth, Frimley, Manchester or Bristol We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as a Senior Engineer- Electrical Engineering (Power). The role can be based at any of the following sites: Barrow-In-Furness, Brough, Portsmouth, Weymouth, Frimley, Manchester or Bristol and offers the opportunity for hybrid working (this varies depending on the chosen site) and flexible working hours. As part of the Electrical Equipment Team, you will be involved in the specification and tendering of equipment within the Electrical Power System and subsequently will manage the technical side of the contract through staged design reviews through to design completion, working closely with external suppliers to meet the standards of engineering excellence required to provide the Royal Navy with the next generation submarines. Main Responsibilities: * Writing technical specifications and supporting in the down selection and placing of contracts * Liaising and collaborating with external suppliers and the customer * Following design lifecycle management to ensure the delivery of equipment to specification * Providing technical consultation to multi-discipline teams, suppliers and stakeholders on matters related to the power system * Preparing technical reports, calculations, and presentations to communicate results and recommendations effectively Benefits: * Enhanced Pension scheme- up to 14% combined * Relocation package available * Flexible working pattern including working from home/ flexible start and finish times * 25 holiday days plus bank holidays- 26 days after 5 years’ service/ 27 days after 10 years’ service *
