The Client We are urgently seeking an Electrical Site Manager, on behalf of our client, one of the UK's leading M&E Contractors. The project is a major, new-build educational facility (£9 million MEP) based in East Yorkshire and is set to last around 18 months. Following this scheme there are additional projects secured in the Yorkshire area so they are particularly interested in candidates that are based locally for this role. The Role & its Responsibilities As the Electrical Site Manager, you will be an integral part of the M&E division within the main contracting team overseeing the project. Your responsibilities will include: Managing Electrical Works: Overseeing the delivery of electrical systems within the built environment and ensuring that all works meet the required standards and specifications. Team Collaboration: Working closely with a successful delivery team, including direct engagement with clients and their professional teams. System Delivery: Ensuring that electrical systems are delivered, coordinated, and completed to the highest quality, in line with design drawings. Supply Chain Management: Coordinating with suppliers to guarantee timely and effective delivery of equipment and works packages, and addressing potential delays proactively. Commissioning Support: Collaborating with commissioning engineers to ensure all systems are commissioned on schedule and meet the necessary standards. Project Handover: Overseeing the final handover process, ensuring all documentation and legislative requirements are completed, recorded, and handed over appropriately. Progress Reporting: Maintaining accurate site records, including diaries, photographic evidence, and detailed reports to keep project managers informed. Meeting Coordination: Organizing meetings, toolbox talks, and other essential project communications.
