Your main responsibilities will include: Recruit and lead technical talent (currently a team of 5-10 engineers) in line with business requirements and technical roadmaps Be both highly technical and an effective people manager enabling the tech team to perform to a high standard Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives, and have an impact at an organisational level Measure the impact of your team and set clear expectations and goals Work with the CTO to develop and implement the strategy for technological development You will be accountable for: Act as an advocate for technology vision both within the engineering community and the wider business community Develop a high-performance culture Bring a product-led and agile working mindset to the business Management of the platform, broader architecture, roadmap delivery and engineering function Establish technical best practices, policies, ways of working, testing and delivery strategies, Designing, maintaining and delivering a coherent, well designed, scalable and robust technology architecture Partner with Product Managers, Tech Leads and Senior Engineers to help build and achieve product roadmap plans with a high level of quality We are looking for someone who has: Previous experience of software development in FinTech , startups or scale up environments would be a huge plus A background in development with strong prior experience in languages and frameworks such as Java, P
