Principal Designer - Sheffield

A growing, well-established global construction and property consultancy is seeking a Principal Designer to join their team based in their Sheffield office. The Principal Designer will understand the pre-construction phase plan in various sectors including commercial, residential and retail. The Principal Designer will have a strong knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015. This role would suit a Principal Designer who is looking to step into a larger company that can provide not only qualifications and CPD support, but promotional opportunities and career longevity. The Principal Designers Role Act as Principal Designer or Principal Designer Advisor on small-large scale projects Ensure designs & designers comply with general principles of prevention Provide H&S advise, support and training across the client base Conduct audits to include general H&S compliance Apply H&S and CDM knowledge to ensure CDM compliance is met Involved in the creation of PQQ/tender documents The Principal Designer NEBOSH General certificate or Construction H&S NCRQ/NEBOSH Diploma Level 6 or actively working to obtain GradIOSH as a minimum (or working towards) APS Membership preferable Experience providing clients with H&S advise in the Construction, Retail or Property industry Understanding of the pre-construction phase In return £45,000-£55,000 25 days annual leave 8 Bank holiday Private Medical treatment Gym Membership Loans Discretionary annual bonus dependant on performance Company shares scheme Pension Career development support If you are Principal Designer considering your career opportunities, or looking for the next step, please call Munnie Thaman at Brandon James Health and Safety.
