Key Stage 3 Transition Teacher

We are working very closely with a Pupil Referral unit within Lichfield, we are looking for an SEN Teacher to support pupils transitioning from Key Stage 2 through to Key Stage 3. The successful candidate will be part of the Teaching team whose main aim will not only be to teach but also to support emotional regulation, wellbeing and provide successful access to learning. Do you have a passion for teaching students with SEMH and behavioural needs? Job Duties: * Deliver the curriculum to all students, adjusting the material should it be necessary to suit specific needs. * Responsibility for creating and preparing lessons. * You will be accountable for the attainment and pupil progress. * Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment, keeping the school’s core value of mutual respect at the forefront. * Previous experience of working with emotional regulation and with positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies. * Qualification to the equivalent of degree level in a specialist subject or a related subject * You enjoy using a therapeutic approach to teaching. * Experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication teaching background.
