Building Surveyor Location: Portsmouth Salary: £26.72 per hour (Umbrella) Working Arrangement: Hybrid working We are recruiting for a Interim Building Surveyor to work in the Portsmouth/Gosport area. This role is working on a Hybrid basis. As the Building Surveyor for the Councils Housing and Assets you will need in-depth knowledge of building surveying, asset management, and contracts such as JCT and NEC. Key Responsibilities: Qualifications: You will hold a degree or HNC level qualification in a relevant building surveying or construction-related subject. Preferably, you are a member of RICS or CIOB, demonstrating your commitment to professional excellence. Comprehensive understanding of the JCT and NEC suite of contracts is essential. Knowledge of building construction technology and building pathology.Skills and Qualifications: Degree or HNC level qualification in a relevant building surveying or construction-related subject. Preferably a member of RICS or CIOB. Proficiency in JCT and NEC contracts. Strong understanding of building construction technology and building pathology. Knowledge of building-related and health & safety legislation, contract law, and guidance. Experience in conducting various surveys and assessing technical staff.
