Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Gateshead, North East Hours: 37.5 per week Salary: Competitive, based on experience Benefits: Company car, excellent benefits package Company Overview: An established civil engineering firm specialising in roads and sewers is expanding its team in Gateshead. We are seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring efficiency and profitability. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and oversee budgets, forecasts, and cost plans. * Conduct cost value reconciliation and financial reporting. * Administer contracts, including managing variations and claims. * Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure optimal value. * Collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders for seamless project delivery. * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Requirements: * Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying (from any construction background). * Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional experience. * Strong understanding of construction contracts. * Excellent cost management and negotiation skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. * Full UK driving licence. * Right to work in the UK.
