Electrical Technician

Good knowledge & experience of automotive electrical & mechanical systems, ideally commercial vehicle experience. - Able to read and understand electrical drawings and circuit diagrams. - Able to record and update circuit diagrams. - Experience with high voltage & CAN systems. - Experience in fault finding and resolution. - Experience with instrumentation and data logging equipment. - Knowledge and ability to carry out mechanical tests. - Good communicator (working with Electrical design, suppliers etc.) - Fluent in MS Office (Outlook, word & excel) - Good communication skills, both written and verbal - PSV or HGV license is desirable. - Aware basic workshop machine tool operation - Ability to work under own initiative. - Experience with laptop based diagnostic equipment. - Able to demonstrate instrumentation & data logging equipment experience (Analogue and CAN systems). - Your work experience will be gained in the automotive industry and in particular; bus, coach, HGV, specialist vehicles or tier-1 suppliers. - We would also welcome those who have gained skills from mobile plant, rail and rolling stock, aerospace, marine, or other similarly complex engineering environments.
