Job Description: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Fakenham Salary: Competitive Salary Technique Recruitment solutions are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for our client based in Fakenham. The Role An experienced mechanical design engineer required to develop customised products for a small, friendly company dealing in an international marketplace. Creation of overall design and assembly drawings to define customer requirements, Generation of detailed manufacturing drawings for internal or external production, Creation of BOM for special products and procurement as required Customer liaison for projects Liaison with Workshop Supervisor to ensure projects are fulfilled on time Continuous Improvement of existing products Key Skills A sound background in mechanical engineering, with good knowledge of mechanisms, fabricated assemblies and sheet metalwork The ability to quickly and effectively design customised variants from a standard product range, The ability to prioritise workload and deal efficiently with multiple projects. Other Skills Excellent working knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD or similar, Able to produce effective, detailed manufacturing information on time Working knowledge of Machinery Standards and relevant legislation Able to work as part of a small team Excellent communication skills Notes Up to 37k
