About the role: We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in SEMH needs (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) to join our nurturing and inclusive school in Cheshunt, London. This is a full-time, long-term role that offers the chance to work closely with children who need extra support to thrive academically and socially. As an SEN Teaching Assistant focusing on SEMH needs, you will work closely with students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who are experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, or behavioural difficulties. Your role will be to offer personalised support, helping these children to manage their emotions, build self-esteem, and fully engage with their learning. You will work in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, delivering tailored interventions, supporting the teacher in delivering the curriculum, and helping to create a safe and supportive classroom environment.
