Use your knowledge in electronics and software to create effective test methods This is an opportunity to further your career in test engineering, working with electronics and software at the cutting edge of sensor development. Based in Cambridge, this role will mostly involve the design and development of automated test set-ups for innovative sensors, as well as the production of useful visualisations of results for analysis. As a part of a supportive and responsive team, you will help understand the requirements of clients and develop specific plans to ensure the products are performing at levels that meet or exceed expectations. You will be very familiar with standard electronics test equipment, such as such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes, and ideally you would also be confident designing jigs or fixtures using 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks). With an eye for detail and the ability to support junior colleagues improve their effectiveness and productivity, you will be a valued member of a team that takes pride in meeting high standards. For this role, you will need to have the following: - A good degree from a well-respected university in an engineering or scientific subject - Full existing right to work in the UK without time limit - Comprehensive knowledge of test and measurement, theory and practice, including test engineering for sensor products, and skills in the use of standard electronics test equipment - Experience of developing test software and database query/pre-processing functions with rigorous source code version control (ideally using git) - Skills in the analysis of test results, including their visualisation or presentation (ideally with Python or JMP), as well as the use of cloud hosted databases for data storage - Comfortable integrating test solutions into bespoke mechanical parts, electronic subsystems and software Skills and knowledge in the following would also be advantageous: - Time-series visualisation of test results using Grafa
