As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Multi skilled, electrically biased Shift Maintenance Engineer with experience gained within the Automotive sector to complement their established and highly professional maintenance team. Based near Birmingham and working Monday to Friday - 6am to 2pm - the successful Maintenance Engineer candidate will be tasked with performing a range of (PPM) planned preventative and reactive breakdown duties on manufacturing equipment whilst ensuring the highest levels of compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation, working as part of a team striving to achieve company objectives and both meeting and exceeding agreed KPIs and metrics, responding to immediate machinery breakdowns to ensure minimal production downtime as well as working to a structured PPM schedule to optimise equipment reliability. Able to read detailed electrical schematics and work to technical drawings and perform safe testing in live conditions, you will also be tasked with undertaking basic fault find, diagnosis and repair on PLC controlled equipment, repairing and installing motors as well as stripping and rebuilding complex special purpose machinery as required.
