BUYER (JUNIOR) FMCG

JUNIOR BUYER - FMCG South Birmingham £30,000 - £35,000 dep on experience + excellent benefits Mon - Fri 08.30 - 5.30 - 40 hours Due to growth, a very successful, independent, family orientated FMCG retailer, with over 330 stores are seeking a Junior Buyer to join their Procurement Team in the Head Office in Birmingham. It's a fast paced environment where you will be working alongside a Senior Buyer, given guidance and training and be ultimately responsible for managing your own categories. The Junior Buying role will involve: * Developing and maintaining good relationships with suppliers, ranging from global FMCG brands to small family run businesses. * Negotiating and agreeing prices and trading terms, placing orders in line with demand. * Creating a balanced commercial plan based around growth and reviewing ranges. The ideal person will have: * Previous experience of working as a Buyer in a Purchasing or Buying environment - ideally within FMCG * Commercial and market awareness and the desire to further develop knowledge and skills * Excellent communication skills at all levels and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. * Ability to work at a fast pace and confident in making commercial decisions If you are keen to further your Buying career within in a dynamic and evolving environment and be part of a well established successful team with a great culture please get in touch ASAP Thank you for your interest in this role.
